We work as a learning and leisure co-operative, sharing interests, knowledge and skills, regardless of previous experience. In other words there are no formal qualifications needed to join - just an open mind!
Learning, Laughing, Living
Activity Groups are the core part of the ethos of any u3a and one of our priorities is to ensure a wide range of successful groups available for members. The success of our groups is the direct result of the inspiration, leadership and efforts of the volunteers running our groups, outings and events.
The style of our meetings is informal and friendly in varying sizes of groups. Some members lead groups, some share tasks - it is up to each individual as to how committed and involved he or she becomes.
We run more than sixty groups, plus regular outings and events, open to all of our members.
Our members are either retired or are no longer in full-time employment and there is no lower age limit for membership.
