Poppy Factory & Marble Hill - Richmond

Join us to discover the home of Remembrance poppies and wreaths. Our host will give a 30 minute presentation telling the 102-year-old story of the Poppy Factory. We will then have an hour to explore the exhibition and to have a go at poppy-making.
Our coach will then transport us to nearby Marble Hill. There, you may wish to purchase lunch in the café before exploring the house and gardens or you may bring your own picnic.
Marble Hill House is a neo-Palladian villa set in 66 acres of parkland. It was built in the 1720’s for Henrietta Howard, mistress of King George II when he was Prince of Wales. It is the last-remaining complete survivor of the elegant villas and gardens that once bordered this part of the Thames. Both the house, with its furnishings, and the parkland have been fully restored by English Heritage.
We leave Stocklund Square at 8:45am. We plan to head home at about 4:30pm.
