Petanque

This group is for anyone wishing to try their hand at this simple game, also known as ‘boules’.  It’s a game that requires practice of delivery, study of its tactics and strategies.  Meetings concentrate on play with tuition thrown in, especially for u3a beginners, and continue weekly throughout the year. We are a very relaxed, friendly group and, in addition to our weekly sessions, we organise in-house fun competitions (mêlées) and enjoy a Christmas Lunch together.  Boules are available for members’ use free of charge.  There will be an annual subscription of £8 per person, which will go towards the hire charges for our playing terrain.
