A 4-week Introductory course for those who are new to Pilates or returning after a break. Sue Hope, u3a member and qualified Pilates instructor is offering these sessions based on Joe Pilates method of exercise. Classes are designed to improve strength, flexibility and posture, while helping you move through all muscle groups with ease and confidence in your everyday life. A key part of Pilates is the Lateral Breathing Technique which connects movement with breath to improve focus, reduce tension and support core stability. Each session is tailored with clear guidance and gentle encouragement so you'll always feel comfortable and challenged at your own level. Leave class feeling stronger, motivated and more energised. With regular commitment, Pilates will become a powerful tool for life! To take part in this 4-week course you need your own exercise mat and should be able to get down and up off the floor.
