Speaker Programme

A wide range of topics will be covered in our quarterly Speaker Programme. During the year we aim to have something of interest to everyone.  Information will be sent out to all members together with the quarterly Newsletter.  All u3a members may apply to attend an event on a first come, first served basis. Refreshments will be served after the talk.

This group makes a small charge of £5.00 per person, payable on the day.

Time: 2.00 pm - 3.30 pm (arrival from 1.45pm)

Neil Sadler - Britain's Waterways

Date: 23 July 2024

The speaker for this event will be Neil Sadler, who has now retired from his 30-year career as a Senior Police Officer. He will take us on a light hearted journey around some of the 2000 miles of navigable waterways, in a 58 foot canal narrow boat, across Britain, with just a small dose of history, lots of humour, a rather wet puppy and only one broken arm …….so far !

There is an admission charge of £5.00 per person, payable on the door, which includes refreshments.
